The Alpine hut was built at an altitude of 1950 meters above sea level by the ancestors of Walser origin in 1888, it was later restored in 1986 and today it is an important reference point for both the winter and summer seasons.
The chalet is made up of an main room in typical mountain style, with a bar area and a restaurant with 50 seats, while outside there is a lovely terrace with other 50 seats. Surrounded by the frame of Monte Rosa, it looks out over Alagna and the valley.

From La Baita you can admire some of the most famous peaks that frame Alagna as the mount Tagliaferro, the Vincent Pyramid, the Olen valley with Cimalegna and other enchanting peaks.
