Hotel/Restaurants Relais Regina di Ca' di Janzo - Riva Valdobbia
Fraz. Ca' di Janzo, Alagna Valsesia
Relais Regina, located in Ca' di Janzo, is three kilometers far from Alagna Valsesia and only one km. from Riva Valdobbia. The valley that hosts it is called Val Vogna, and stands out for its uncontaminated nature, which covers its slopes, punctuated by the typical Walser houses. Here the warm welcome of the three houses that make up the Relais Regina (Casa Walser, Casa Perello and CasAlpina), different in personalization, but united by the authenticity of the local architecture and a skilful restoration, will welcome you and involve you in a holiday suitable for your needs but also mountain-chic. Add the sensory experience offered by the suggestive and refined Spa, and the culinary experience of the typical flavors of the area, proposed by the restaurant in combination with local wines, to the hotel guests and to external visitors.
Casa Alpina was a historic hotel in Monte Rosa area, founded by the Favro family in 1883 with an adjoining Post Office. The hotel is also famous for having hosted the Queen Margherita of Savoy in 1889, who was a passionate mountaineer, during some of her many excursions on Monte Rosa. Relais Regina owes its current name to her, holding back with pride and love trace of her past. In recent years CasaAlpina has acquired two other typical houses in the village (Casa Walser and Casa Perello, which have been renovated with modern but respectful criteria), to offer hospitality in over thirty charming rooms. The common areas are the reception with the hall and bar, a breakfast room, a restaurant, a relaxation room, sunny outdoor spaces and a beautiful spa. The Walser House is built in the typical style brought by the Walser, the people of Germanic origin coming from the Valais, which in ancient times has colonized the highest points of Valsesia and its side valleys. Wood and stone are the predominant elements, both in its original construction and in the restoration that has been carried out. These two elements contribute to make the environment refined, welcoming and at the same time traditional, as evidenced by the lobbia, formerly used for drying hay and today a splendid balcony. It has 5 rooms, including a Junior Suite, all with bathroom, telephone, wi-fi.
Pensione Perello was at the beginning of the 20th century housed in a stone building on two floors. Today it is a mountain chalet with a modern and warm design. The rooms are eight, including two suites. Here too the dominant element is wood, combined with natural fabrics. The furniture is well-kept and refined, and some have a private balcony overlooking the Valley.
Casa Alpina is a building (actually double) that speaks of history and many are the environments that have been enhanced during the renovation, such as the beautiful restaurant and the wooden balconies. The rooms are 20, for this reason the structure is particularly suitable for group stays. The modern Spa is the gem of Relais Regina. It will be like entering another world, designed to awaken the balance of mind and body: Finnish sauna, turkish bath, emotional showers, Jacuzzi and comfortable chaises longues in the relaxation room to relax after skiing, trekking and hiking, or simply to dedicate some time to yourselves in the muffled silence of the village while savoring the aromas of mountain herbs of the tisaneria.
The restaurant not only welcomes guests of the hotel, but also opens its doors to external visitors. The proposals, like all the Relais, are revisited in a modern and captivating key, but without ever breaking away from tradition and above all from the use of local products. There is no lack of proposals for organized evenings, in which the expertly prepared dishes are offered in combination with local wines, for a taste proposal to be enjoyed at 360 degrees!
We inform our guests that the hotel is closed till 06.12. We will answer your email as soon as possible.
Kind regards
